Growing up in northern California, the West has always been part of me, and no music is closer to my heart. YONDERING, an album of classic western songs, is my tribute to the beauty of the wild.

On Broadway and off, in musicals and concerts around the country I've performed various kinds of music, but the songs I sing to myself are mostly the ones on YONDERING, classic western songs of earth, sky, and the great lone places. No matter where the road has taken me, my heart always returns to the windswept prairies and the far peaks, and the call of new frontiers, within and without.

Many of the songs on the album have now become very timely. Creating fresh renditions of them has been a lifelong dream, and I was fortunate enough to have the help of some fine musicians. We kept the instrumentation acoustic and authentic - guitars, bass fiddle, accordion and fiddle - and I hope you love the final result as much as we loved creating it.
